New websites of the SCP Print E-mail
27.11.2009 – Středisko cenných papírů (Prague Securities Centre) switches over to a new design of its websites in the framework of the integration of current SCP and ISB websites by 30 November 2009. One of the core changes is splitting of the website into two parts - the Public Area and the Registered Area. The Registered Area comprises information for the contracting partners of the SCP, who actively use its system.
The registration is necessary for the access to the Registered Area. Operating instructions (user manuals) as well as other information for the companies being in contractual relations with the SCP are available in the Registered Area. Entering into the area is enabled via clicking on the option Login/Logout at the right site of the website.
We hope you will find our new websites functioning to your satisfaction.

Information for SCP Clients Print E-mail

1.10.2009 – Issuers as well as owners of booked securities are contacting the Prague Securities Centre (SCP) in connection with the information about „the end of the SCP“ published in some media. The UNIVYC, a.s. company, which changed its name into the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., after it was given the permission to act as the central depositary, made necessary steps to start its activities at the moment when the regulations of the Act No. 256/2004 Coll., on enterprising on capital market, as amended, are to be realized, and the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., takes over the SCP registers.

In this connection, the SCP wishes to inform its clients that, until the taking over of the SCP registers by the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., the SCP continues in its activities in the same way as practised by now, and that all contract arrangements remain in force and effective now and on.

Concerning the issuers, these received a letter from the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., the sense of which should be for the issuers to conclude timely a contract with the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., so that the respective issuer can start a new relationship with the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., in a proper contractual way directly at the moment when the SCP registration is terminated. Such a step shall require due preparation, a certain time for discussing the contract drafts and finally for signing the contracts. This means that the issuer shall have a valid and effective contract with the SCP and at the same time also with the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s. However, the contract with the Depositary of Securities, a.s., would only enter into effect at the moment of taking over the SCP registers and starting the activities by the new subject as above.

The SCP recommends to its clients to turn with confidence to the SCP with requests for services in the same way as practised by now.

As for the questions concerning the course of preparations leading to the start of activities by the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., after the taking over of the SCP registers, the clients may contact the Central Depositary of Securities, a.s., Rybná 14, 110 05 Praha 1, http://www.centralnidepozitar.cz/
